Smoothies are my morning love! The colour, vibrancies of flavours, nutrition inside is unparalleled to anything else I have in the day. I love trying new smoothie recipes, while staying consistent with the ones I love.
To make the most vibrant, nutritious and flavourful morning smoothie, here are the five sets of ingredients you will need:
Green (spinach, kale)
Anti oxidants (ginger, lemon)
Multivitamins (1-2 fruits)
Health fats (nuts )
We usually end up missing these 5 food groups (+ protein) in our daily diet. And its complex to think about incorporating them across meals. Just add them to the smoothie!
My green smoothie recipe (makes for 2 glasses)
Spinach - 1 cup
Ginger - 1/2 inch
Banana - 1 frozen
Fresh Coconut water - from 1 coconut (optional - replace with normal water)
Apple - 1/2
Almonds - 1/4 cup
Chia seeds - 1 Tbsp
Blend it all together and enjoy!
